白川／この作品は、特殊な光を発する靴とその光に反応するチップから成り立ちます。チップには蓄光塗料が塗られているため、同じ場所に佇むと光は広がりを見せ、歩いた足跡は光の軌跡となります。ともすると飲み込まれそうな大自然や都市の群衆の中、この光は自分の場所を自分自身に認識させてくれます。

A combination of flashing sandals and luminous chips that respond to flashes of light. Because of the luminous paint on the chips, when you stay in one position, light spreads out in all directions and your footprints remain illuminated. So, whether you are standing alone in the wilderness, or in a crowded city sidewalk, the lights tell you where you are. |
