持続可能性を持ちながら、人がよりよく暮らしてゆけるあかりというテーマからは、シンボリックな照明というアイデアに行きつきやすいことにまず注目しました。
この事から私は、アートでもクラフトでもないプロダクトという分野からの独自なアプローチを行いたいと思い、実用的な便利さをまず大前提とし、人とあかりとの関係を見つめることによりテーマにそった作品となるよう心がけました。

First of all I noticed that the theme of this year, "lamp of sustainability", by which people can get along well,
easily leads to the idea of a symbolic lighting.
Hence I wanted to take a unique approach from the field which is neither Art nor Craft. Presupposing that my design should be practical, I tried to make it match with the theme through considering the relation between man and lighting.
With this "Loop Light", which makes you feel relieved and secured, when you carry it with you, I hope I could propose a new way you can get along with the lighting.
