昔の人々は現在必要不可欠となっている電気が無い状態で生活を送っていた。この生活の中には様々な自然の光を使ったものがあったに違いない。
この「かげからひかり」のコンセプトはエネルギーに限りのある電気を浪費し続けている現代で今一度自然の光の利用を考えてみようというものである。この作品は光と影を利用することを重要視した。なぜならば、光は影（暗）が無ければ存在する事ができず、またその逆もしかりであり、この両方を利用できれば自然の光を無駄なく使用できると考えたからである。これによって、今までにないあかりのありかを見つけることができる。

In ancient times people lived without electricity, which is now indispensable for us. They must have made in their lives various inventions which helped them to make use of natural light.
The concept of this design is to suggest that we should give a little thought as to the ways of utilizing the natural source of light on reflection that we have been wasting not – unlimited energy of electricity.
In this design I take the exploitation of both light and shade seriously. It is because light cannot exist without shade and vice versa. By combining the two you can harness the natural light and have an epoch – making light you have never had.
