コンセプトは地球の恵みである水に「あかり」といういのちを与えること。 AQUA PRISMは、地球の物質に潜在している美を「ひかり」によって引き出した「あかり」そのもののデザインです。 あかりのありかは電球にしました。 日常生活の中で見慣れてしまった電球ですが、中に水が入ると水晶玉のように美しくなります。 陶器のように白いペンダントにつけ、食卓で使用します。 水滴が今にも滴ってしまいそうな緊張感をイメージしてデザインしました。 あかりをつけると、水がプリズムの役割を果たし光を分光。 小さな虹がいくつもでき華を描きます。 寿命はLEDが約2万時間。 水が約10年です。 LEDが切れたら、バルブは取り外してリサイクルします。

My concept is to give ‘life of light’ to water which is one of the blessings of the earth. This is the design of none other than the lighting which can bring out the beauty latent in water by means of light.
A light bulb which is familiar to you in everyday life will turn out to be as beautiful as a crystal ball when filled with water. Connect it to a white earthenware pendant, and you will find it fits in well with your dinning room.
In designing this work my image was a sense of tension you would feel at the sight of drops of water being on the point of dripping. When you turn it on, the water inside refracts light as a prism to form little, flowering rainbows.
LED lasts 20,000 hours. When it runs out you can recycle the bulb.
