このあかりは、光よりも陰影によってそのフォルムを現します。しかし、陰影は光によって生かされ、生まれるものであり、どちらが欠けても成立しません。一方、人は様々なものに生かされ、人そのものが成立しています。そのことに目を向ければ、いままで、そしてこれからの地球への見方が変わってくるのでは? というメッセージをこめて制作しました。形は生命の源である海に古来から生存する貝をイメージしました。

The lamp reveals its form by means of silhouette rather than by light.
However, it is by light that silhouette is given. They are interdependent for their existence.
While on the other hand, we human beings have been totally dependent on other living things.
To them we owe what we are now.
If you give this fact a due consideration, it will change your view of the earth for now on.
With this message in mind I produced my lamp.
Its shape comes from an image of the shell which since time immemorial has lived in the sea, the cradle of all the lives.
