この作品は、日本の伝統的な酒文化について深く考えた照明です。日本の酒文化は、相手のグラスが空になる前につぐことが礼儀とされています。しかし、酒をつぐタイミングを逃すことがあります。
枡酒は、グラスに残っている酒の量によって光り方が変わります。それによって、グラスにどれだけ酒が残っているかを間接的に知らせます。
枡酒には液体を入れるので、電子装置が外側に出ないようにデザインしました。充電は、受け皿の上で複数の枡酒を重ねて一度に行うことができます。
この作品は積み重ねて、ムードランプとして使うこともできます。

“Masuzake” will make the traditional Japanese drinking culture more meaningful than before using this feature. According to the Japanese drinking culture, it is a manner to pour a partner’s glass before the glass becomes empty. However, people sometimes could mess the timing to pour alcohol while they are drinking. “Masuzake” lights differently depending on how much alcohol in the glass. So it appears electronic devices outside of the glass, because it is a glass for liquid. When it is charged on the cradle, it can be piled with several other “Masuzake” to charge at the same time. The collected “Masuzake” play a role of a mood lamp.
