デザイン的には、自然のメタファー(隠喩)を取り入れている作品が目立った。例えば、金賞受賞作品の月と地球・天と地をはじめ、入選作には炎、魚、クラゲ、鳥などのイメージがみられた。また自由に動かすことができる照明、外部の条件に合わせて変化する照明など、利用のバリエーションを感じさせる作品が好感をもって受けとめられた。金賞を受賞した「月に寄せて」は、近未来的な造形と、内部からのひかりに月影が映し出される仕組みなどがロマンを感じさせ、審査員をうならせた。 |

These was a tendency in the Second Competition that many designers had aimed to give a representation of a natural metaphor. For example, the Gold Award winner introduced the
image of the moon and the Earth, as well as heaven and earth. Images of flames, fish, jelly fish, and birds were seen in some of the award-winning designers. Also seen, and favorably evaluated, was the lighting which allows versatile movements and responds flexibly to external environmental conditions, in order to give wider allowance when the light is used in dierent circumstances. The Gold Award winning design“, ON THE MOON”, impressed the judges tremendously, with its futuristic structure and romantic features, in which the moon shows up when the light is projected. |
