| 全般的に、プロの領域に達しているほど完成度の高い作品がそろい、技術的にも、製品としての観点から見ても革新的な作品が多かった。と同時に、光が人の心を和ませ、楽しませてくれるものであることを感じさせる作品が目立った。傾向として、建築的な作品とプロダクト的な作品に二分されたが、前者の代表が金賞を受賞した「place」。実社会にどのように結実させるかという課題は残したが、人が光と戯れ、遊ぶことを可能にしたと審査員の称賛を集めた。コンペでは7年ぶりの日本人の金賞受賞となった。 |

As a whole, the works lined up showed the characteristics that the more professionally trained, the higher perfection of the works. Innovative works, either from the views of technology and products, also showed up. The nature of the works split into two, architecture and product orientated, and the best work of the former titled as“ place” was awarded the gold. Though the issue how the work could be materialized in actual society was left not being explained, the work obtained the jury’s compliments as the idea made man possible to play and interact with light. At the 12th Competition, a Japanese was awarded the gold after 7 years’ absence. |
