| 前回コンペの休止で2年ぶりの開催となったが、その21世紀に突入し、「新世紀の刺激」を受けた学生の息吹が感じられた。応募作品の全体的な印象としては、バリエーションが多彩で、感覚的なイメージや豊かなフォルムが際立つ作品が多かった。ただ、テーマを考えると、社会性がもっと意識されてもよかった。気持ちが先行する作品が目についたのも残念な点だった。金賞の選定は議論が分かれたが、最終的には「Loop Light」が、緊急事態や危険な状況を想定した完成度の高さで受賞となった。 |

Although the 17th Competition was held after 2 years’ absence with last year’s suspension, students’ energy, stimulated by the advent of the new century, was impressed. As the impression of the applicants as a whole, many works stood out with a sensitive image and well-developed form in rich variation. However, when the theme taken into consideration, more social aspects should be aware of. It was regrettable that the works first led by some sentiment showed up. Though the votes on the gold split,“ Loop Light” won the gold at the end because of its higher perfection with the assumption of the state of emergency and critical situations. |
